After taking a course entitled Perspectives in Women’s Health (WS/NURS 220) during their first years at the University of Michigan, Reina and Lili were empowered to continue discussing prevalent women’s health issues outside the classroom with people from all sectors of the campus community. While there were several feminist student groups already established on campus, Reina and Lili noticed a lack of opportunity when it came to collectively discussing and advocating for women’s rights specifically related to health and well-being. Thus, in the summer of 2017, the two decided to create their own organization that was dedicated to creating just this.
