Hi everyone! I've been spending my summer all over. I started in northern Canada, in the town of Happy Valley Goose Bay doing mental health work and community program for individuals through their Women's Centre. After a brief adjustment to the fact that it was still possible for snow to fall in June, I had a great time!

After that, I had the opportunity to visit my grandfather and do some touring in the south eastern part of China. I'm wrapping my summer with an internship in Greensboro, Alabama, with Project Horseshoe Farm. They offer internships and full long year fellowships, which I am now thinking of applying for after graduation. From day programs to nonprofit work to individual health partners this has been an amazing way for me to explore social work and public health. I have never been able to see so clearly how necessary it is to have structures and policies in place so that everyone has access to the healthcare and aid that they need.

Doing all of this work has made me excited for the upcoming year at WORTH! I can't wait to apply the experiences and knowledge I have gained to projects. Although I do not have a specific goal yet, I am inspired to continue working on the more political area of public health within the University.
