Our third Summer Spotlight is the awesome soon-to-be Sophomore Gigi Garcia!

Hi! My name is Gigi Garcia and I'm a rising sophomore studying Biology and Latino Studies, leaning towards Pre-PA.

I've spent the summer at home, where my calculus class recently ended and I've been busy helping to manage the pool that I've previously lifeguarded at. I work in a team to plan events, keep the chemicals in check, and to make sure everyone at the pool is being safe and having fun! I also now get to be in charge of the radio when I'm there, which for the most part means anything other than country. In my spare time I've been reading a ton, traveling Up North and to the East coast with friends and family, and following the World Cup. I'm also helping a friend out with a mentorship start-up called Lighthouse, which is meant to connect rising high school seniors with similar college students. I've gotten pictures of our signs from the Menstrual Product program sent to me by friends at orientation, and have to say I'm most excited to see how the program will grow in size and accessibility in the coming year. Thinking about all that we were able to accomplish in just our first year on campus makes me so proud to be apart of WORTH, and I'm excited to meet even more amazing people with the same passion for Women's Health!
